About this Study.

To help inform the Commonwealth’s efforts supporting the adoption of health information technology, the Massachusetts eHealth Institute at the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MeHI) is completing a Provider and Consumer Research study. This study is designed to provide comprehensive information on the use, needs and attitudes toward health information technology among Massachusetts health care providers and consumers. As a part of the study, we are conducting a survey among providers in Massachusetts.

This research study will help us identify particular challenges with health IT adoption in the state and inform us as to providers’ knowledge and concerns.

Who is MeHI?

In collaboration with the state Legislature and Administration, MeHI works to expand the adoption of health information technologies and further eHealth innovation in Health IT across the Commonwealth. Since 2008, MeHI has been working to help health care providers adopt and meaningfully use health information technologies. Reforms and initiatives under the state’s 2012 health care cost containment law have enhanced MeHI’s role in furthering Health IT adoption by the Commonwealth’s providers and consumers.
