Welcome to the MASTERS Running Study!

Dear Runner,
Thank you for your interest in participating in the MASTERS running study. This study is examining health habits in recreational and competitive runners ages 35 years and older. The goal of this study is to obtain a better understanding of the running and racing habits of this sector, and determine how the relationship of baseline health characteristics correlates with medical evaluations in older runners. Hopefully you will be willing to participate and contribute to this important subject.

The study consists of 45 questions and should take less than 10 minutes to complete.

Please note that this survey is for research purposes only; in no way does it constitute a medical evaluation or medical advice. If you decide to participate please complete the survey below. Your answers will remain anonymous and will not be shared with anyone outside the study team.

The researchers are asking you provide an email address if you are interested in receiving the aggregate results of this study when it is completed and/or being contacted in the future with additional research questionnaires related to running and health. If you prefer not to provide an email address, you are still able to complete the survey. Your email address will not be shared with other organizations or used in any way other than to recontact you to offer participation in future questionnaires. This website will not store the web address from which you access this site.

For additional information or questions you may contact the researchers at runmasters@hotmail.com. For questions regarding your rights as a participant you may contact Lehigh Valley Hospital’s Research Participant Protection Office at 610-402-2760.
