CALL FOR PAPERS INFORMATION

Please read through the guidelines below carefully prior to submitting your paper.
The SA Innovation Summit as an annual flagship event on the South African Innovation Calendar, is a platform for nurturing, developing and showcasing African innovation, as well as facilitating innovation thought-leadership. Created to support and promote innovation and facilitate collaboration within its own eco-system, the initiative brings together business and thought leaders, inventors, entrepreneurs, academia, researchers and policy makers to amplify South Africa’s renowned competitive edge and to inspire sustained economic growth across the continent of Africa.

We believe that entrepreneurship is the biggest opportunity in our lifetime, and the most important way that Africa can come to its full potential and develop and deliver products and services that stand out, are credible and are inspired from the continent. It is a David against Goliath story, and it is time to take Africa to the World! We realise that this will take courage, vision and ingenuity and want to express this in  our speaker program at SUMMIT 2018!

We invite you to be part of our journey by submitting a suggestion for a paper at the Summit.

Summit 2018
The Call for Papers seeks to elicit responses from thought leaders in all spheres of life to contribute to the conversation and enable delegates to walk away with concrete outcomes and commitments aligned with our 2018 theme, AFRICA OUR TIME HAS COME.

Our key focal areas will guide the conversation, while due process and specific criteria will be applied to the selection process. We aim to have a mix of thought leadership and best practice in innovation and therefore welcome papers from a wide range of focus areas, but the following six areas are of particular interest:

  • FinTech
  • BioTech
  • EduTech
  • AgriTech
  • Cities of the Future
  • Space/Big Data/Artificial Intelligence/Robotics, etc.
Social entrepreneurship is a cross-cutting theme at the Summit!
