The FWC is responsible for managing Florida's fish and wildlife resources for their long-term well-being and for the benefit of people. This often involves enacting and enforcing rules and regulations governing activities such as hunting and fishing. FWC staff are seeking your input on a package of proposed hunting rule changes, including many dealing with FWC-managed lands, via this online commenting tool.

FWC Commissioners will consider these proposed hunting rule changes and provide guidance to staff on how to proceed at their Nov. 5 - 6, 2025, meeting. Commissioners will consider the proposed rule changes for final adoption at their Feb. 4 - 5, 2026, meeting. If adopted, most rules will take effect on July 1, 2026, and be in place for the 2026-2027 hunting season.
