The FWC is responsible for managing Florida's fish and wildlife resources for their long-term well-being and for the benefit of people. This often involves enacting and enforcing rules and regulations governing activities such as hunting and fishing. FWC staff are seeking your input on a package of proposed hunting rule changes, including many dealing with FWC-managed lands, via this online commenting tool.
FWC Commissioners will provide guidance to staff on these proposed hunting rule changes and consider them for advertising and final adoption at their Dec. 9-10, 2026, meeting. If adopted, most rules will take effect on July 1, 2027, and be in place for the 2027-2028 hunting season.
