The Academy of Medical Sciences has convened a Working Group of experts from academia, industry, charities and the NHS to explore the sustainability of health research in the UK. This consultation is our first opportunity to seek the views of key stakeholders on how health research across the UK could be more sustainable. The survey will remain open until 5pm on 24 November 2021.

In this consultation we are welcoming views from organisations and individuals on:

     · elements of health research in the UK which are currently sustainable and those which are not
     · key barriers to sustainability
     · what might be done to address these barriers

Your progress completing this survey cannot be saved and it will need to be completed in one sitting. We suggest drafting your answers in a separate document (you should have received a list of the consultation questions with the link to this survey). Please limit the collective length of your responses to the consultation questions (10-16) to 1,000 words overall.

We will consider your response and use it to inform: further consultation; meetings with the Working Group; optional interim publications; the final report. If you do not wish for your response to be made public, in part or full, please let us know in question 18. We hold any personal information you supply under the terms set out in our privacy policy.

If you have any questions about the consultation, please email us at policy@acmedsci.ac.uk.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. Your views and feedback are very important to us and we look forward to incorporating them into the development of our vision for sustainable health research in the UK.
