Since 2014, the VFW has regularly surveyed our members and supporters to best evaluate their health care experiences to best inform the Department of Veterans Affairs on the best ways to meet the health care needs of the veterans’ community. In response to the global COVID-19 health crisis, this work has taken on considerably more importance as we seek to keep our families and our communities safe and healthy.

The following survey asks a series of questions designed to evaluate your health care experiences in the last six months. In addition to asking how your care has changed, we are also asking a series of questions in line with Centers for Disease Control guidelines to evaluate your perceptions of your overall physical and mental health over the last 30 days. The response burden for this survey should be no more than 15 minutes.

The information we collect is always anonymous, but if you are interested in sharing more demographic information, this will help us best evaluate trends across the veterans’ population. The goal of this survey is to share results with VA decision-makers and Congress, as well as to compile a final report on this important topic.

We hope you are staying safe and healthy during this difficult time, and we thank you for sharing your experiences to help us best serve the needs of our veterans!
