Consultation is an important part of a leadership review, particularly for any organization with broad accountability, multiple stakeholders, and a strong commitment to inclusive leadership.  

Our consultations are intended to:
  • Allow key stakeholders to have input into the renewal process for the University Librarian and to provide feedback on the strengths and opportunities of the University Library.
  • Inform the University Librarian Search Committee of the experience and perspectives of the University community in relation to the University Librarian’s accountabilities and leadership. 
  • Build a common understanding of the role of the University Librarian in order to set the conditions for their success.

We appreciate that not everyone may have had the opportunity to engage with the University Librarian, Vivian Lewis.  Respondents should feel welcome to comment from the lens they have and may choose to answer select questions based on their experience and knowledge of the University Librarian and University Library.  Respondents who are unfamiliar with the University Librarian may choose only to respond to Questions 1-2 and 7-9. Not all questions may be relevant, and respondents can submit “N/A” for any question they feel they cannot answer.
