INTRODUCTION

For the past seven years, The Texas Lawbook has conducted annual surveys of law firms operating in the state, seeking information on personnel and finances. We use the data to rank firms by size and other characteristics and identify trends shaping the state’s legal marketplace. The Lawbook 50 rankings form the basis for Lawbook stories and serve as a firm-level resource we use throughout the year in other stories.

This year, we’ve split the survey into two parts. This first installment covers information available early in January on lawyer employment and hiring, firm leadership and diversity. All lawyer employment numbers you submit should be full-time equivalents.

DUE DATE: FEBRUARY 11, 2022

The second installment, covering finances, will arrive in your in-boxes as financial data become available at the end of February. We hope this approach makes responding to the survey easier. We’d appreciate any feedback.

Any questions? Please notify Mark Curriden by email at: mark.curriden@texaslawbook.net

After submitting the survey, please notify Mark by email. We may need to set up an interview with your managing partner or a leader at your firm.
