Lighting Design and Application

Building on fundamentals course and relevant work experienced; this next step intermediate level course enables participants to understand both the quantitative and qualitative aspects of the art and science of lighting to more effectively recommend the appropriate lighting solutions.

Level: Intermediate

Building on the fundamentals course and relevant work experience; this next step intermediate level course enables participants to understand both the quantitative and qualitative aspects of art and the science of lighting to more effectively recommend efficient lighting solutions. This course is taught by experienced LEDVANCE personnel and independent lighting practitioners.

What you will learn:
·        Visibility and color
·        Lighting technology and applications
·        Human factors
·        Luminaires and optics
·        Two common calculation methods with software demonstration
·        Applying lighting technology by application
·        Lighting regulatory issues
·        Developing and working with lighting specifications
 
Who should attend:
Experienced distributor sales personnel involved in specifying systems, design-and-build contractors, electrical designers or architects who develop layouts, or sales representatives who interact with designers and consultants on a regular basis. Attendees should have a minimum of three years in lighting and have completed a fundamentals course. Some familiarity with reading drawings (blueprints) and photometric reports is helpful, as the session includes group project work.

Course Fee:
$550 (Wilmington, MA – 2 1/2 days) covers course materials,  breakfasts, lunches and two group dinners. 

- Course registrations are handled on a first come/first serve basis and is subject to capacity limits
- Successful submission of the registration application does not guarantee a position in the session
- Successful applicants will receive written acknowledgment of their acceptance via email within 2 business days of submission.

In all cases space is limited, so please register as soon as possible. A detailed confirmation package will be sent to you prior to the start of the course, including hotel & transportation arrangements, and general agenda. Confirmed enrollments are transferable. LEDVANCE reserves the right to determine enrollment eligibility and limit attendance.
