2020 Houston Corporate Counsel Awards Nominations are Open
The Association of Corporate Counsel Houston Chapter and The Texas Lawbook are accepting nominations for the 2020 Houston Corporate Counsel Awards. The nomination process is open through February 21, 2020.
Finalists will be announced in late March. The 2020 Houston Corporate Counsel Awards ceremony is set for Thursday, April 30, 2020 at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Houston.
Here are this year's categories:
Lifetime Achievement Award
Transaction of the Year
Senior In-House Counsel of the Year (Large, Medium & Small/Solo Departments)
Community & Public Service
Legal Innovation (Individual and Corporate Legal Department)
Creative Partnership
Business Litigation of the Year
Rookie of the Year
Corporate Legal Department Diversity
General Counsel of the Year (Large, Medium & Small/Solo Departments)
The rules for nomination are simple: the corporate counsel being nominated must reside and work in the Houston area and the work for which they are being honored must have occurred in 2019.
Detailed descriptions of each category appear as you begin the questionnaire.
Anyone can make a nomination, including outside counsel, in-house colleagues, or service providers. However, nominations by law firms MUST be submitted by a lawyer at the firm.
Insider Tip: The more information you provide in your submission about the lawyers and legal departments being nominated and the successes they’ve achieved, the more likely it is that they will be selected as finalists.
