Beyond Celiac is interested in understanding more about the use of video capsule endoscopy. No personal information is being collected as part of this survey.
Video capsule endoscopy is a procedure where you swallow a pill that contains a camera. This is different from a typical endoscopy procedure, in which a long tube (endoscope) is inserted down the throat to view the digestive tract and samples of tissue are taken.
In video capsule endoscopy, no tube is inserted. Instead, the camera inside of the pill takes pictures of your digestive system as it travels through, and those pictures can be seen by your doctor.
