The 2025 Aberdeen Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department Survey identified an indoor park with play features as one of the community’s top amenity priorities and special events as one of th ecommunity's top programming priorities for future investment in parks and recreation. This finding was based on ETC Institute’s Priority Investment Ratings (PIR) Analysis, which evaluates both the importance of an amenity/program to residents and the extent to which current needs are not being met.
To better understand this result, the City of Aberdeen has asked ETC Institute to conduct a short follow-up survey to learn how residents envision an indoor park with play features and what event concepts are most desired. Your responses will help clarify how the community interpreted this survey item and provide City leaders with more detailed guidance as they plan future parks and recreation investments.
