UK High-Performance Computing for AI - User Survey |
1. Introduction
This survey seeks to gather information on the current and expected future use of High-Performance Computing (HPC) resources for AI to support the uptake and advancement of AI technologies within the UK.
Your answers will be used to inform a study which aims to quantify UK demand for AI compute up to 2035. Commissioned by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), this study is being undertaken by Technopolis & London Economics to provide an up-to-date, evidence-based picture of how different user groups currently access compute infrastructure, and how demand is likely to evolve over the short-to medium term.
The remainder of the survey is organised as follows:
1. User profile and context
2. Current advanced compute usage (defined as high-performance computing for AI, in terms of GPU requirements)
3. Growth expectations
4. Access and Barriers
This survey will take about 15-20 minutes to complete. You do not have to complete the survey in one go. As long as you are on the same device, you can close the window and return to continue where you left off.
We ask for one response for your organisation or research group, reflecting a consolidated view where possible. If another colleague is better placed to respond on behalf of your organisation / research group, please feel free to forward this invitation.
If you require any further information regarding the study, please feel free to contact:
