AI & CHILD SAFETY: Mothers’ Views on a Rising Influence in Kids’ Lives

This study is being conducted by Count on Mothers, in collaboration with Dr. Dana Suskind (University of Chicago) and Dr. Kaitlyn Regehr (University College London).

The survey takes about 5 minutes and is anonymous.

We want to know:
  • If/How your child is using AI
  • Your concerns, if any
  • What you notice about AI’s effects on your child’s behavior, learning, or well-being
  • How confident you feel in protecting your child’s privacy
  • What safety standards or policies matter most to you
Your choice:
Taking the survey is completely up to you.
You can stop at any time by closing your browser.
There is no penalty.

Risks and benefits:
You might feel uneasy thinking about your child’s experiences with technology, but nothing out of the ordinary.
There is no direct benefit to you, but your answers can help shape safer technology and stronger protections for families.
Minimal risk is associated with online data, such as a breach of confidentiality.

Privacy:
We do not collect your name, email, or IP address.
Data are stored on a secure, password-protected server for three years and shared only as group totals.
