The Athena Pathway Programme (APP), founded by Hannah Mills OBE and Sir Ben Ainslie, aims to race towards a more diverse, inclusive and equal sport.The immediate objective of Athena Pathway will be to fast-track development of female athletes into high-performance foiling sailing, including both SailGP and the America’s Cup. Sailors will use the 26-foot ‘Easy to Fly’ foiling catamaran, training primarily based out of the 2012 Olympic Venue, WPNSA, Weymouth, UK.Sailors of Athena Pathway are committed to winning, and want to win the first ever Women’s America’s Cup. One of the goals of APP is for the female sailors to eventually sail with within a mixed Americas Cup team.
