If you are interested in helping move the Children and Youth Master Plan (CYMP) forward, let us know how you would like to play a role! Please select one or more options listed below and you will receive a follow up email. Thank you for helping to create the conditions in Alexandria for all youth to thrive!

1.Below is a list of ways people can get involved in the Children and Youth Master Plan (CYMP). These options are for youth and adults, alike. Please select all of the options in which you are interested in:

Registering for a free Developmental Assets Training

Registering for a free Training on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)

Registering for a free Youth Mental Health First Aid Training

Hosting a Developmental Assets Training at my organization

Participating in future Community Meetings, Town Halls, and Public Forums related to the CYMP

Joining one of the CYMP Work Groups (Developmental Assets Work Group or Prevention Work Group)

Joining one of the Community Health Improvement Plan Work Groups (Mental Health, Poverty, or Housing)

Joining Alexandria's Trauma Informed Community Network, RAISE

Meeting with the CYMP Coordinator to learn more about the Plan or a specific area of the Plan

Attending a Children, Youth, and Families Collaborative Commission Meeting

Learning more about youth leadership or volunteer opportunities

Learning more about after school programs in Alexandria

Learning more about local parenting resources

Learning more about local housing, transportation, mental health, employment, and other community-based resources for helping families meet their basic needs

Speaking with someone from Alexandria's Domestic Violence Program or Sexual Assault Center about the services offered

Speaking with someone from Alexandria's Child Protective Services

Speaking with someone from the Parent Resource Center at Alexandria City Public Schools

Learning more about current youth- and family-related volunteer opportunities
