The update of the Green Building Policy will be focused on privately-owned developments. The Advisory Group will explore:
  • Establishing targets for building performance that directly address emissions, indoor air quality, and energy efficiency,
  • Providing more clarity and regulatory certainty to developers by reducing the use and negotiation of the standard conditions process,
  • Establishing requirements with consistent applicability regardless of the complexity of a development (e.g., requirements that can be applied to simple, single-building developments as well as complex, mixed-use, multi-building developments), and
  • Creating clear and simple requirements that reduce costly and time-consuming reviews.
