  • Volunteers must have a current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance before commencement. You can apply for this through Wesley Mission Queensland at no cost to you.

Experience is not required; however, it may assist us in finding the most suitable role for you.(Required.)

11.If required, are you physically able to push an occupied wheelchair?
Training is provided and pushing wheelchairs is optional in the role.
12.Do you have an NDIS Workers Screening Check?
Your check must be current. You can apply for one through us if you do not have one.(Required.)
13.Have you ever been a citizen or a permanent resident of a country other than Australia since turning 16 years old?
If yes, you will be required to complete a Statutory Declaration through Wesley Mission Queensland as part of the Aged Care Worker Screening Guidelines and Legislation.

If yes, please provide the first and last name, phone number, and email address of your parent or legal guardian who has permitted you to participate in this volunteer role. Please note that this person may be contacted for confirmation.
15.Keeping Children Safe: Reportable Conduct Scheme

  • Complete all education required within the role.
  • Have the required current security checks, licences, vaccinations, and documentation on file.
  • Have the ability and willingness to work within the philosophies, policies, procedures, and Charter of Wesley Mission Queensland outlined in the Volunteer Handbook and by the Workplace Supervisor and Local Level Manager.
  • Comply with WMQ infection prevention and control requirements.
