Brazos Valley Regional Communications Survey |
Purpose of Survey
This short survey is intended to aid the Region identify the current capabilities, short falls, system usage, and user base. The information gathered in this survey will be utilized by Local Jurisdictions, Regional Communications Committee, and Texas Statewide Interoperability Communications in developing short and long range communications plans.
The survey is intended for all jurisdictions and disciplines. Once all the information is compiled maps will be drawn up and printed out for each county with all known and/or reported capabilities, short falls (Communications Dead Spots – Both Broadband and RF), and user base.
Participation is key to analyzing this data. The greater the input (numbers of participants) the more accurate the final product will be. The survey should not take more than few minutes to complete unless your agency has several communications dead spots – In which case, it's even more imperative this survey be completed. The information will be utilized locally and statewide for grant allocations. As Stated by SWIC, the states goal is to fund the areas with lower level capabilities first.
