About Banyo Respite Centre

The Banyo Respite Centre is a fun and active group of approximately 40 senior members of our community. They have friendly morning teas, bus trips, concerts and other activities. The club meets every Wednesday morning between 8:30 am and 12:30pm.

About the Volunteer Role

As a Transport and Social Support Volunteer you will play a part of a multi-disciplinary team, working alongside and under the direction of Wesley Mission Queensland paid staff to assist a small number of clients (up to three) at our Banyo Respite Centre to travel to and from the centre, improve their social connections to enhance their wellbeing.   

The time we require volunteers is on Wednesdays between 8am and 12:30pm.

Please note that Transport and Social Support Volunteers are required to utilise their own private vehicle and have an open licence with fully comprehensive insurance.   Volunteers are provided mileage reimbursement when utilizing their private vehicles in this role.
