Introduction:
This training will help to support PSHE leads who are new to the role or who feel that their role needs more structure to enhance the provision of PSHE in school. With the DfE making Relationships and Sex Education (Secondary), Relationships Education (Primary) and Health Education statutory for all schools from September 2020 and many schools already delivering a comprehensive programme of PSHE, this training session is an opportunity to reflect, share good practice and leave with tools and resources to enhance your role in school.

The training will help you to:
  • Understand the importance of being a PSHE lead but also the challenges you face
  • Support colleagues to feel more confident delivering PSHE
  • Reflect on the content of your curriculum and question whether it is meeting pupils’ needs
  • Look at tools to help you monitor and evaluate PSHE in your school to help raise the status
  • Consider active teaching and learning techniques to enhance your PSHE
  • Identify good quality resources and partners to enhance your PSHE offer
As lunch is not provided, please either bring a packed lunch with you, or there will be time to go out and buy something.
