In June of 2019 The Federal Government, the Ocean Technology Alliance of Canada (http://oceantechalliance.ca/) and Canada’s Oceansuper Cluster (OSC) announced a partnership initiative which would see the development of a Canadian Digital Ocean Asset Map and Database that shows the true depth and breadth of the oceans sector in Canada.

As you know the OSC will play an important role in assisting Canada’s ocean industries to catalyze evolving collaborative opportunities from coast to coast to coast.  To encourage this, we are promoting a deeper engagement with companies, the research community and academia to more fully describe our sector as dynamic and innovative, and to position those in the oceans space to be front and center in taking advantage of individual and collective opportunities that arise as a result. The Ocean Supercluster and its partners want to work with you to heighten awareness of the significant collective industrial, research and academic capability present across Canada. Our aim is to compile and present Canadian ocean industry companies, research organizations and the academic community in a manner that raises their visibility both within the Ocean Supercluster members and in international markets that are watching this initiative closely. To do this, we are seeking your help in defining the key differentiating information about your organization and its capabilities that will generate the recognition needed to stimulate new opportunities.
