The Chicago Police Department is seeking input from the public on suggested updates to its current Human Rights policy. We are looking for public feedback and lived experiences on ways we can better improve this policy. 

Current policy prohibits Chicago Police Department members from any engaging in any illegal discrimination against an individual or group on the basis of any protected class under federal, state, and local law, including race, color, sex, gender identity, age, religion, disability, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, marital status, parental status, military status, source of income, credit history, criminal record, or criminal history.
