Welcome to Hugo

HUGO Analytics, LLC leverages empirical methods and advanced data analytics to improve litigation outcomes. We apply social science insights and experimental testing to determine, rapidly and rigorously, what litigation strategies are most likely to succeed. For large cases approaching trial, we offer custom tailored support packages with extensive engagement, custom demographic panels, and randomized experimentation to optimize strategy.

CasePortrait250 is our low-cost automated analysis package, which allows you to confidentially submit a textual case summary, and receive back within 5-business days a basic case evaluation.

This package includes:
  • responses from ~250 mock jurors, recruited just for your case from a larger pool of over 70,000 Americans, with IP-addresses verified;
  • checking which side the jury is leaning toward during each part of the presentation (10x);
  • summary metrics including likelihood of winning, average damages, and case expected value;
  • qualitative responses identifying strengths, weaknesses, and questions about your case; and
  • a brief quality review by one of the firm partners, including recommendations for further testing to optimize your case.
When you are ready to proceed, we will need:
  • basic information about your case;
  • ten textual passages (up to 250 words each) representing an introduction to the case (1), your evidence and argument (4 passages), and your best prediction of your adversary's evidence and argument (4 passages), and condensed jury instructions (1);
  • a verdict form (up to 3 questions); and
  • additional qualitative questions for jurors (up to 2 questions).
Within 24 hours of your submission, we will review these materials and contact you for your credit card number to launch the project!
