But to help us plot out room assignments – and to get you thinking about the broad range of topics – this week we’d like you to weigh in on a set of panels – which one is your pick for the ONE you’d like to sit in on – and what question(s) you’d like to pose to the panel/speaker.

Debt “Lode”: Why A Student Loan Solution Is Necessary For your Retirement Plan Clients. According to the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI) less than 10% of companies currently offer a Student Loan solution but that is expected to jump to 1/3 by the end of 2022. Today’s tight labor marketing and the crushing burden of student debt have made these programs an obvious solution for recruiting and retention. How does that apply to the retirement plan?

“Out” Takes: (How to) Add a Decumulation Focus to Your Accumulation Focus. It’s ironic that programs designed to provide retirement income pay so little attention to the realization of that objective. To this day only about half of defined contribution plans currently provide an option for participants to establish a systematic series of periodic payments, much less an annuity or other in-plan retirement income option. That said, there are some new options emerging – and some support from the SECURE Act to nudge them along as well. Come find out how you can expand your focus.

“Keep” Sakes: Value-Added Services that Will Help You Earn Your ‘Keep’. As the nation’s premier advisors shift their revenue models toward a greater reliance on professional servicing fees, maintaining a competitive edge will require that you articulate a strong and compelling case for the value you bring to your clients’ bottom line. A session that will provide you with more than (just) talking points.

Beyond BeFi: More Than Nudges – Behavioral Finance 2.0. While the first generation of behavioral finance was focused on finance and economics, there’s a second generation coming on line – one that encompasses more than mere utilitarian factors in decision-making, but incorporates considerations of both psychology and sociology. And this new generation of thought seems likely to draw into question some of the assumptions of its predecessor.
