AMIA members are among the leading voices on issues surrounding the preservation, archiving, and restoration of film, video, and digital moving images. They write not only for AMIA’s journal, The Moving Image, but also author books and articles for a wide variety of publications. They also create video essays and podcasts, and are guests on television and radio and online programming as interview subjects with unique and learned perspectives on moving image preservation, making, advocacy, distribution, copyright, collecting, curating, digitization, and histories of such activities.
As part of the new Resources section of the website, we want to list these AMIA authors/makers/interviewees and their recent work in these areas. Submissions are limited to the past two years (e.g. November 2017-Present) for live links. If you would like to submit older resources, we will make a list available in downloadable form.
Our membership is unique and we want to be flexible in our definition(s) of publications - we communicate in a variety of ways, and the Publications Committee is open to a broad range of modes. When submitting, we ask you to keep in mind the list is intended as a bibliographic resource, something tangible that those in our field might access in some fashion (for research, for information, for instruction, etc.).
Please note that the AMIA Authors page is for listings by current members and will be reviewed three times a year.
