The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s National Center for Evidence-based Practice in Communication Disorders (N-CEP) convened a multidisciplinary panel to develop evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and recommendations on the provision of cognitive rehabilitation services to adults with cognitive dysfunction associated with acquired brain injury. N-CEP is conducting peer review of the proposed document and recommendations.

The guideline is divided into several sections
  • Executive Summary: Provides a concise overview and summary of the guideline scope and recommendations
  • Introduction: Defines the scope of the guideline and provides relevant background information.
  • Methods: Details the methodology for the systematic review and process for developing the recommendations
  • Recommendations and Supporting Evidence: Highlights the recommendations made by the Panel and summarizes the evidence and justification for each
  • Limitations of the Evidence and Future Research: Discusses methodological limitations of the evidence base or the guideline development process and considers relevant topics for future research.
  • Summary: Provides a brief synopsis of the overall document.
Please review each section and answer the corresponding question. We welcome your feedback on the clarity and content of the guideline. The Panel will review and consider each survey response and comment. Submit your responses by September 24, 2021.
