Cooper House situated in our Wheller Gardens Aged Care Community is seeking a volunteer to assist staff and residents with the fortnightly communion and worship service on a Monday morning. These services are inclusive of all faiths and a spiritual belief is not essential for this role.

This volunteering role includes:
  • The setting up and packing down of resources utilised for church service
  • Escorting residents to and from the service and assisting as required during the service
  • Providing companionship and support to residents and establishing friendships
  • Documenting the names of residents who attended the service
  • Communicating resident feedback to staff to enhance resident enjoyment.
This volunteering role is suitable for people who have well developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and display a calm and empathetic manner. Volunteering is a wonderful way to make a difference in the lives of our senior residents while making friends, having fun and learning new skills.

Volunteering times for this role are Monday 10am till 12noon on a fortnightly basis. 
This program is located within the Wheller Gardens Aged Care Community where the residents enjoy a wonderful sense of life, fun, and friendship.
