Westport Comprehensive Plan Update Workshop #1 Public Engagement Boards Survey

This survey is a follow up to the first public workshop for the Town of Westport's Comprehensive Plan Update that took place on February 24th, 2026. The survey reflects the content that was displayed on boards during the workshop and is intended to provide those who did not have a chance to attend the workshop in person to provide input on the information presented.

The survey will be open from February 24th to March 10th. In addition to the survey, the workshop boards are available at the Town Hall for anyone who wishes to provide their input there.

Housing Preferences

1.What type of housing do you think is needed most in Westport? Select all that apply.

Townhomes - Small- to medium-sized attached structures that consist of two to 16 multi-story dwelling units placed side-by-side. Entries are on the narrow side of the units and typically face the street.

Duplexes - Small (two- to 2.5-story) detached structures that consist of two dwelling units, each with an entry from the street. Have the appearance of small- to medium-sized single-unit houses and many include a rear yard.

Small Multi-Family - A structure with 3-4 units on the ground and upper levels. Has the appearance of a medium-sized single-unit house and may include a yard.

Single-Family Homes - A detached residence designed for one household, typically on its own lot with private indoor and outdoor living space. These homes vary in size and style.

Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) - A smaller, residential space located on the same lot as a single-family home. Internal, attached, and detached are different types of ADUs.
