Welcome to the D-Risk Edge Case Survey
Hello and welcome to the D-Risk edge case survey.
The D-Risk project aims to help ensure that automated vehicles are able to safely respond and manage all types of situations. It is a government-funded, innovation project with collaborations between government authorities and businesses in the UK.
We want you to be involved in helping to shape the future of mobility!

This is your opportunity to help to ensure that automated vehicles are developed which are safer for UK roads.
D-Risk is exploring and identifying scenarios that aren’t easily programmed into Automated Vehicle (AV) systems, and which:
- Have the potential to cause a road traffic accident
- Are unpredictable or complex
- Are infrequent or unique
These events are described as ‘edge cases’
With your help, we can ensure that AVs respond appropriately in all situations, be they strange, uncommon or scary!

You will be asked to provide your name and your email if you would like to take part in further research. This information will only be shared within the DG Cities team for the purpose of further contact (i.e. for research purposes) should you consent. You will not be identified in any published materials. Neither will you be contacted by anyone who does not work at DG Cities, and you will only be contacted if you provide permission.
