INTRODUCTION:
The Linux Foundation Research is conducting a survey as part of a research project on the prevalence and outcomes of open source programs and similar open source initiatives operating across the globe. We are thankful for the support of CNCF, FinOps Foundation, and TODO Group who have graciously sponsored this year's survey, as well as GitHub, OpenSSF, CURIOSS and InnerSource Commons as distributor partners.

This survey should take no more than 5-10 minutes of your time. You can change the survey’s language to Chinese or Japanese at the top right corner of the page.

GOALS:
Results will provide nuanced, data-driven guidelines tailored to different sectors, helping organizations navigate the evolving role of Open Source Program Offices (OSPOs) in both open source management and AI governance. The findings will offer actionable insights aligned with the unique challenges and opportunities organizations face when integrating Open Source practices with emerging technologies such as generative AI. Your participation will help us build a comprehensive understanding of how OSPOs are shaping not only collaboration, security, and innovation, but also responsible AI adoption, risk management, and governance. These insights will inform the future of OSPOs as strategic organizational functions, supporting more resilient, transparent, and scalable software ecosystems.

BONUS:
As a thank you for completing this survey, a code will be displayed on the confirmation page. It can be used for a 35% discount on any Linux Foundation e-learning training course or certification exam if you register for a course by November 30th, 2026. You can find the complete catalog of training and certifications at https://training.linuxfoundation.org/full-catalog/. The promotional price is limited to individual purchases only. The offer is not valid with any other discount combinations. Offer does not include THRIVE-ONE subscriptions or any FinOps courses and certifications.

PRIVACY:
We do not collect or store any information identifying you or your employer as part of your survey responses. If you optionally provide your name, employer and email address at the end of this survey, it will be maintained separately from your survey responses. The Linux Foundation’s Privacy Policy is available at https://www.linuxfoundation.org/privacy.
