Altamont Group has been engaged by the World Bank to conduct a Digital Skills for Jobs Assessment in Egypt, Lebanon, KSA, and the UAE.

The study focuses on understanding the demand and supply of digital skills, with special attention to youth (17–25) and women (students, recent graduates, job seekers, or career professionals), and how these groups can more effectively contribute in the digital economy.

The objectives of this research include:

  1. Identify current and future digital skills demanded by the labor market across the top economic sectors in each country.
  2. Understand the alignment between university/TVET programs and industry needs.
  3. Capture the experiential barriers faced by youth and women in the field of digital skills acquisition.
  4. Inform governments, training providers, and development partners with actionable recommendations to strengthen national digital skills ecosystems.
  5. Understand life long learning needs to equip existing workforce on needed digital skills.

The research findings will guide recommendations to strengthen digital skills development and labor market alignment across Egypt, Lebanon, KSA, and the UAE.
