11% of survey complete.
Beat is conducting this BRIEF and ANONYMOUS survey to help us learn from the experiences and expertise of health and care professionals in Wales that provide support and/or treatment for people with eating disorders. You will not be asked to provide any information that could enable you or your team/service or Health Board to be identified

It should only take around 5-10 minutes to complete. It will close on 4 October 2021. Please read the information below and then click the 'Next' button at the end of this page to begin the survey.

What does this survey ask about?
This survey includes questions about how the number of people with an eating disorder presenting to services and the severity of these presentations compare to before the COVID-19 pandemic. It also asks about the capacity of teams/services to meet current demand. Finally, it asks some questions about how services in Wales are provided and what you would like your Health Board, NHS Wales, and the Welsh Government to do to provide more help for people affected by eating disorders. It does not require respondents to provide information that could enable them to be identified, nor does it ask respondents to disclose the team/service, Health Board, or organisation in which they work/volunteer.

How will Beat make use of responses to this survey?
The (anonymous) data from this survey will be summarised in a report published later this year to coincide with the 3 year anniversary of the publication of the Welsh Government Eating Disorder Service Review 2018.

Data protection
Anonymised results will be used to help Beat write a report on access to evidence-based treatment and support for people affected by eating disorders in Wales. Beat may also make use of the anonymised data in other campaigning opportunities. The survey includes a question to seek your consent for Beat to use direct quotes from your response - albeit without disclosing any potentially identifiable information - and to attribute these to a pseudonym (made-up name). If you would not be comfortable with this, then please indicate this in answer to this question. Beat's Privacy statement explains how we ensure that any personal data we obtain is stored and processed fairly and lawfully.
