The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is seeking feedback on options to strengthen New Zealand’s emergency management legislation.

The deadline for submissions is 5pm, 13 May 2025.
This survey asks questions about issues and options raised in the discussion document Strengthening New Zealand’s emergency management legislation. We suggest you refer to the discussion document when answering the questions.

Submissions will be used to inform NEMA’s policy development process and will inform advice to Ministers. Your submission (including identifying information) may also be shared with other government agencies working on policies related to emergency management.

NEMA may contact submitters directly if we need clarification on their submission or would like further information from them.
