1. ERI-TB PUBLIC CONSULTATION ON TB RESEARCH PRIORITY SETTING FOR THE EUROPEAN REGION OF WHO

The European TB Research Initiative (ERI-TB) and its WHO secretariat are seeking to define the priorities for and gaps in research in the European Region of WHO relating to TB. You are receiving this request as part of a public consultation among national TB programme (NTP) managers and other partners in the Region.

A list of important research questions for the Region was obtained after extensive discussions and thanks to the contributions made by the expert ERI-TB Core Group members.  A total of 76 research questions are being presented in this survey for your consideration.  They cover a wide range of activities and each page corresponds to a defined area of work (such as infection control, or collaboration with HIV programmes).

The results of this public consultation will be used by the WHO Regional Office for Europe to develop policies decided by the WHO Regional Committee for Europe for collaboration with and  support for  Member States in priority areas in TB research.

Your contribution to this regional priority setting consultation is very important and deeply appreciated.
