The 2023 FAW Grassroots Football Awards celebrate the hard work of the unsung heroes who have kept the faith and, in some cases, kept their clubs alive, through one of the toughest years in living memory.

This year, along with our partners McDonald's, we're taking nominations for award winners, across Wales, in 8 categories.

GRASSROOTS MATCH OFFICIAL OF THE YEAR

This award highlights a match official’s commitment to grassroots football and supports the delivery of the game. A referee can be officiating at any level of Welsh football who advocates the FAW’s key values of excellence, family & respect at all times. The winner may also be someone that acts as a mentor supporting new players and/or referees into the game through their work with local clubs, leagues, Area Associations and referee societies.
