* 12. Risk Assessment

It is important to stay safe when litter picking as there are risks involved. Always wear suitable clothing to suit the weather (sturdy shoes are key!) and never pick up anything which looks suspicious or could cause harm (e.g. needles, broken glass or anything with a sharp point). Use thick gloves to protect your hands and pick up items with your litter picker.
