The Warrnambool Surf Lifesaving Club is one of the oldest lifesavings clubs on our coast and has been keeping our community safe and active since the 1930s.

Located in Warrnambool, the Club has over 800 members with 200 patrolling members and over 300 nippers in the Club’s thriving Junior Program.

Even though the Club gives so much to our community, its facilities are in need of upgrading to meet 21st century expectations and regulations for all-abilities access. Upgrades would provide the following benefits to the community:
  • Greater surveillance of the swimming area and greater accessibility;
  • Modern changerooms for users;
  • Meeting rooms that can accommodate club’s growing membership including a First-Aid room, a patrol support and training room; and
  • More storage space for vital rescue and training equipment.
For WLSC to continue to provide their many services to our community they need to funding to upgrade their facilities and bring them to modern standards.

These vital upgrades will allow the club to serve the community at the highest level with an increase in patrol hours and trained lifesavers, improved storage to allow rescue-ready configuration of equipment, and expanded training and development of the Nipper program.

Federal Member for Wannon, Dan Tehan MP is working hard to secure funding so that the Club can upgrade their facilities and continue to provide a vital community service.
