Knox County Education Association's Survey on the Use of Federal Funds
Our district is set to receive an additional $114,112,117.74 in ESSER 3 funding, but it first must be applied for. Federal law requires school districts to collaborate with local education associations on how these funds should be spent.
With this survey, we are asking educators and support personnel to provide input on the best ways to utilize these new federal funds. Once we receive responses, we will share our findings with the school district as a part of our collaboration.
Local school districts have received and are set to receive historic amounts of federal funding. Our district received and has already budgeted to spend $12,886,555.72 in ESSER 1 funds and $50,810,033.58 in ESSER 2 funds. Information on how the prior funds have been budgeted can be found here.
The deadline for districts to apply for the third round of funding is August 1st. Your prompt attention to this survey is appreciated.
