AChemS 2019 Proposal Submission

The AChemS Program Committee invites your proposals for Symposia at the 2019 Annual Meeting.

Symposia are the major forum for oral presentations on the latest developments in areas of significance to the chemical senses community. They also introduce new or provocative ideas, technical innovations and growth areas for interdisciplinary or translational science.

Symposia will be selected based on:
(1) focus on exciting, newly-emerging areas
(2) scientific topics of broad, current interest to the AChemS membership
(3) inclusion of speaker(s) who may work outside the chemical senses field and/or are first-time AChemS attendees
(4) adequately balance and representation of the diversity of AChemS

The deadline for submission of symposia proposals is September 20, 2018.
Symposia Composition:
Symposia will include a chair(s), who must be an AChemS member in good standing, and up to four (4) invited speakers. The proposing member may suggest him/herself as Chair. At least one (1) speaker must be a graduate student, postdoctoral fellow or junior faculty. We encouraged the inclusion of up to two (2) speakers who would be first-time attendees to AChemS and/or who may work outside of the chemical senses. All symposia will be 120 minutes in length.

The participation of all invited speakers must be confirmed prior to the submission of the proposal.
