UTC Diamond Award - Deadline for entry: May 1, 2023

UTC's 75th Anniversary Diamond Awards recognize individuals and organizations that epitomize excellence in support of the utility ICT industry. The awards celebrate the lifetime achievements and contributions made by the recipient. 
 
Categories:
  • Utility Innovations: Recognizes organizations and individuals that have taken innovative approaches to solve mission-critical issues facing the utility ICT Industry.
  • Utility Executive of the Year: This award is given to a senior utility organization executive(s) that led their utility to reach beyond the norm to be a stalwart in their communities.
  • Technology Partner Executive of the Year: This award is given to the senior technology partner’s executive(s) that have led their organization’s development and deployment of technology solutions that have improved energy generation, transmission, or generation.
  • Government Agency of the Year: NERC, FERC, FCC, NTIA, DOE, and the other agencies that impact the regulation of the Utility ICT industry are the focus of this award. UTC will recognize the agency that has helped move the utility ICT industry forward.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): This award is given to organization(s) or individual(s) that have embraced DEI and have made a significant investment in the DEI movement within their organization.
  • Utility Employee(s) of the Year: The Diamond Award in this category is for the individual(s) who has embraced innovation and applied technology to improve their organization’s service to their community and industry.
  • Technology Partner Employee of the Year: This award is presented to the technology partner employee that has gone above and beyond to serve their utility customers and the organization they represent
  • UTC Core Member: As stated in the name of this category, this award is for the member(s) that have gone above and beyond throughout the years to execute UTC's mission and vision.
  • Woman in Energy: This UTC Diamond Award is for the trailblazer that has broken barriers and opened doors for women in the field.
  • UTC Board Director of the Year: This award recognizes the UTC Board member who has demonstrated the highest commitment to UTC's mission and vision. 
Criteria: 
  • Completion of the online nomination application
  • 75 – 100-word description detailing the candidate’s qualifications for the award.
UTC may conduct interviews with candidates to gain additional insight.
Finalists are invited to attend the UTC 75th Anniversary Gala where winners will be announced.  

Who May Enter:
  • Electric, Gas, and Water utilities
  • Technology and Service providers supporting the utility ICT industry
  • Government commissions and agencies that oversee the regulations of the utility industry
  • Other affiliate companies, organizations, and stakeholders
Entry Deadline: Entries must be received by March 30, 2023
 
Judging: 
 
UTC will utilize a diverse and anonymous group of judges with a distinct list of selection priorities to help identify the 75th Anniversary Diamond Award winners.
 
Finalists will be notified in April-May 2023 and invited to attend the Gala in Ft. Lauderdale on Wednesday, June 7th.
