Please submit your idea for a career exploration or leadership development project, rooted in experiential, project-based learningthat you would like to implement in your classroom.
Be creative! Topic ideas could include the following (please note: ideas below are meant as examples of topics and actual submissions should include more detailed outlines of projects):
Career Exploration:
Engineering & Computer Science
Content knowledge being taught: Student will study robotics by building an mBOT and learn to code on an iPads.
Hands-on project: Students will compete in a robot race
Environmental Science
Content knowledge being taught: Students will study the life cycle of plants, as well as learn about seasons and weather.
Hands-on project: Students will plant and maintain a school garden, logging daily observations of plants and their growth and changes over time.
Leadership Development:
Skills being taught: Students will exercise decision-making, collaboration, communication, and negotiation skills.
Hands-on project:Students will participate in a simulation of the United Nations General Assembly by representing a country and trying to get a proposal to pass.
Eligibility Requirements: Open to all licensed 3rd-12th grade teachers who are members of the Envision Nominator Network (membership requires that a teacher has nominated a student for an Envision program in the past or does so by time of submission)
Deadline for project proposal submission: 1.18.19 at 11:59pm EST.
