About Group61's In-Home Community Visitor Program
Thank you for your interest in becoming an Administration and Engagement Volunteer in Group61's In-Home Community Visitor Program.

As part of the government-funded Community Visitor Scheme, the Group61 Community Visitor Program aims to enrich the quality of life of isolated older people living in their own homes who may be socially isolated or lonely - whether for social or cultural reasons or due to disability.

In our Community Visitor Program, we look for friendly people to volunteer making a difference in the lives of our community’s seniors just by spending an hour per week or fortnight visiting and being a social friend to individuals living in their own homes. Due to the nature of the role we ask for a commitment of six months.

About the Role of Administration and Engagement Volunteer 
Under the direction of and supported by the In-Home Coordinator who oversees the In-Home Community Visitor Program, the Administration and Engagement Volunteer will be responsible for:
  • Supporting volunteers involved in the Community Visitor Program located on the Gold Coast
  • Assisting with the specific matching of clients and volunteers
  • Assisting with the onboarding of new volunteers and participants
  • Conducting monthly meetings with volunteers.
There is flexibility with the hours required in this role and with a combination of face-to-face meetings, skype meetings, and phone contact.
