ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Ali Shami held Boeing leadership roles in Supplier Management, Global Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Sales and Marketing, Customer Engineering, Customer Support, Field Service, Structures Engineering, and Operations.
Ali represented Boeing overseas in temporary assignments where he served as a Boeing representative in several countries including South Korea, England, and Italy. He traveled internationally on business and worked closely with various airline customers. He worked for General Motors as an intern during his university studies. Ali received undergraduate and graduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama and worked as a research assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology. Ali facilitated various Boeing Leadership courses and served as the President of the Boeing Tae Kwon Do club for several years.
Airline Customers and Boeing have given him numerous awards including monetary awards, 2003 Diversity Excellence award, 2004, 2010, and 2011 Global Diversity Change Agent awards, and was among the top 100 managers at Boeing Commercial Airplanes that had the highest employee satisfaction scores in 2010.
