Youth Academy Application
The Hayward Police Department’s Youth Academy is a week-long program offered each summer.
This unique opportunity provides students with a greater understanding of the inner workings of the Hayward Police Department, as well as current policies and procedures, as taught by the law enforcement professionals themselves.
The main purpose of this program is for our students to leave educated in their integral roles as community members while strengthening their relationship with the police.
Open to students grades 8th-12th. Students entering the 8th grade for the 2026-2027 school year are welcome.
The program runs from July 6 through July 10, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily.
Applications are due by: Friday, June 12.
