Wesley Mission Queensland’s Hadden Place Day Respite Centre is seeking volunteers!

Hadden Place Respite Centre is for older persons and people with special needs in Sinnamon Park. It is a wonderful place to connect, meet people, and make new friends. Our services include centre-based day respite and a diverse range of programs and activities, social groups, and social outings.

About the Hadden Place Volunteer Role

We are currently looking for volunteers to join our fun and supportive team by assisting with:
  • Scheduled daily programs
  • Table games with clients, including bingo, puzzles, scrabble, and dominos
  • Arts and craft
  • One-on-one time having conversations with clients, reading, or doing activities
  • Social groups, chats in small groups
  • Preparing, serving, and clearing refreshments
  • Simple exercises
  • Driving clients on outings or to and from their residences to the centre in company fleet vehicles (open QLD 'C' class licence required)
  • Playing an instrument
  • Sharing your special talents
  • Helping out where you can!

Volunteer times are flexible and are available Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.
