Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) updates Colorado’s big game hunting season structure (BGSS) every five years based on the interests of sportsmen/women and biological considerations to ensure herd health. Since early 2019, CPW staff have been engaging the public to gather feedback on potential improvements to season length and timing, as well as hunter opportunity. Based on what was heard during this process, CPW staff propose the following changes for the 2020-2024 BGSS.

Please use this form to share your opinions about staff’s proposed changes. Your input is important to CPW -- thank you!

For more details on the proposed changes including calendar dates for deer and elk rifle season structure alternatives, please see background materials here. To read a summary of the public comment CPW received this winter, please see the BGSS public engagement report.

Thank you for participating in our survey. Your feedback is important.
