3. Regarding growth management, the draft Regional Official Plan: 
  • Identifies areas that will accommodate growth into the future 
  • Focuses intensification in areas where there is existing or planned infrastructure such as transit 
  • Prioritizes building “complete communities” where people can conveniently access most necessities for daily living 
  • Prioritizes sustainable growth and financial responsibility by phasing growth, infrastructure and other community services over time

The Contest draws will take place on January 20, 2022, February 16, 2022, March 16, 2022, and April 13, 2022 at 12:00 noon (EST). Skill testing question required. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The Contest is open to all residents of York Region, Ontario who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, except York Region employees, agents, contractors, or Regional Council members.
