Introduction

The Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade (BIST), formerly the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), has contracted Technopolis to undertake an evaluation of UK participation in Horizon Europe (2021–2027).

Horizon Europe is the name for the EU’s current framework programme for research and innovation, which runs from 2021 to 2027. The previous programmes were called Horizon 2020 (2014-2020) and FP7 (2007-2013)

A central aspect of the study is a survey of those that have not (yet) been involved in Horizon Europe proposals and projects. By taking part you will help to improve understanding about the UK’s involvement in Horizon Europe.

The questionnaire should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete. Thank you in advance for your input to this important exercise.

Confidentiality and data

This survey is voluntary and you can leave the questionnaire at any time. Moreover, you are free to request the withdrawal and deletion of your survey submission and data at any point during or after the survey by emailing horizon@technopolis-group.com.

All data and information provided will be considered confidential and only used by Technopolis for the purposes of conducting the evaluation. Any publication of results from the survey will be in a synthesised and anonymised form. Response data will be presented as aggregate statistics or charts and will not be linked to individuals or organisations. Individual quotes from open questions may also be reported, but these will be anonymised and non-attributable. We will erase your data within 6 months of the conclusion of the study.
